stephanie supposed to send another frame to replace broken one that had bolt missing and sprung frame..dont have the new one yet..
Love the bed so far.
Everything they say it is
We purchased the Queen size for our RV. The dimensions are 80" x 60" & the weight (as given to me by a Sven and Son Rep) is 142lbs, I am not sure if this includes the legs or not.. WE did NOT use any legs and laid it flat on the platform where our queen mattress goes.. Works Wonderful! :-) You will loose the storage under the bed unless you have, or create front doors for access. On our platform the front is open (under the foot of the bed) so we just slide stuff under the bed that way. (we hung a little curtain over the opening, great place to kick off shoes & out of the way) My Friend purchased the same bed after us and is wanting to rigg up some sort of lift to tilt the whole bed up high enough to access the storage underneath.... If you are handy you can probably figure out a solution for the under storage...
The actual frame of this bed is approximately 8"+- shorter than the foot of the bed so you COULD trim the bed to be shorter than 80" if needed, however this would likely void your warranty. The side frames are also approximately 5"+- narrower than the bed so the actual footprint of the bed is narrower and shorter than the "platform" of the bed. (8" and 5" is from memory and not measured exactly) Now get a regular Queen 4-6" foam mattress to put on top and it makes for an amazing nights sleep, AND comfy place to lounge & watch TV or visit with company while they sit at the dinette. (our trailer is small so we have no couch)
Another point... this is NOT a "wall hugger" type bed, so it works perfect for our RV where the head of the bed wall starts to curve toward and over the bed... When we are sitting up it is almost perfect to reach the "nite stand" next to the bed. I would definitely purchase this bed again! :-)
